M.Phil (Applied Geophysics) is two year duration Postgraduate Academic Research Degree course. Geophysical methods are a strong way of imaging the Earth’s subsurface, involving the structure within it and the processes it undergoes. The program provide an advanced and specialized training for professional work in exploration, research and education. Through this course candidates can make their career in various fields. The course syllabus is divide in six semesters of six month each. Various college and university offered this course. Geophysics is a study of Earth Sciences, and employs physical measurement and mathematical models to explore the earth and its surroundings. The course designed to bulid numerical and analytical skills, and theoretical knowledge in the field, develop application and interpretation skills through laboratory- based work, and the ability to carry out independent field measurements.
