Ranchi College of veternity Sciences and Animal Husbandry was built up on 30th November, 1961. (Late) Col. Dr. S. M. Ishaque, G.B.V.C., P.G (Germany), F.R.V.C.S (Sweden) joined as first head and under his dynamic initiative the primary structure, lodgings and private units were developed. It was a constituent school of Ranchi University and worked under state creature farming office till 1970. With the foundation of Rajendra Agricultural University (RAU) at Pusa, Samastipur, in 1971, this school turned into a constituent school of R.A.U. the school was built up with undergrad instructing just and it was in the year 1972 when P.G courses were begun in six orders. These projects were additionally reinforced in every real control in 1977 onwards.
