Partap Charitable Trust has been founded in the memory of S. Partap Singh, Great Grand Father of Prof. J.P. Singh, Chairman of the trust who was the founder of village Partap Singh Wala, by a group of eminent scholars, professors and educationists of national and international level. The trust was registered in November 1996 with one of its main objectives to organize social, cultural and educational institutions. To begin with, the trust established Partap institute of Social Welfare and Development at its campus, Hambran Road, Ludhiana.The essence of various aims and objectives of Partap Charitable Trust is upliftment of society through service by arousing social conscience of the people. The trust expresses its concern for working creatively, selflessly and with dedication. It holds the belief in high esteem that by making the people socially responsible, a responsible society can emerge and vice-versa.Partap Charitable Trust was founded in the memory of S. Partap College of Education was established in the year 2000, it is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and permanently affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. College is running B.Ed. Course with 200 seats.The society at large is deeply concerned with school education. With the onset of 21st century, the values are fast changing. To meet these new challenges, the school education has also undergone a tremendous change. So, looking towards the need of schools and employment opportunities, the managing committee of the college decided to start two year diploma course in D.El.Ed. with 50 seats in the year 2006 with the permission of NCTE and affiliated to SCERT(Punjab).

Computer Laboratory
Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e resource center, which provides access to e resources among other things.
Library
Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.
Canteen
The College campus has a spacious and well ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms
The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state of the art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.

Placements: Around 80% of students got placed easily. The highest package offered was around 5 LPA, and the lowest package was about 2 LPA. Around 60% of students got internships. The college supports you in every possible manner and guides you towards your future.Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on the college premises, and the speed of Wi-Fi is also good. Labs, classrooms and library are regularly cleaned and maintained. The quality of food in the college is good, and they prepare different food items on different days. Special food is available on special occasions.Faculty: All the teachers are qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is awesome. They will definitely help you to clear your concepts. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Exams are quite difficult.
