St. Joseph's Community College (SJCC) is an endeavor of the Karnataka Jesuit Educational Society and is a piece of St. Joseph's Indian Institutions. It was set up as a reaction to the situation of the semi-instructed and school drop-out youth in the ghettos of Bangalore and in the remote pieces of Karnataka attempting to increase some employment.
St. Joseph's Community College was begun in 2005 at the premises of Ashirvad, Bangalore. It had 33 understudies in the main clump who on consummation of the course were invested in the friendliness area. The accomplishment of those understudies excited the enthusiasm of others and the following clusters were begun sequentially. Because of absence of room and different offices it was felt adept to move the school to St. Joseph's Indian Institutions premises in July 2006. Subsequently SJCC got another augmentation working with complete present day comforts on the second floor of the old St. Joseph's school building.
In 2010, taking a gander at the advancement of St. Joseph's Community College, IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) approached to affirm every one of our courses. In 2013 University Grants Commission (UGC) endorsed two of our junior college courses under St. Joseph's Evening College (Autonomous). At present Community College runs UGC endorsed certificate courses, Management affirmed recognition courses and transient courses.
