Modern education college Annandale,Shimla-3 is situated at one of the corners of big Annandale ground in Shimla city which is surrounded by a beautiful lush green forest of deodar and is having a very good, peaceful, cool and calm environment. The location of the college is at a peaceful lonely place far from the city noise and pollution and has healthy environment for educative process.It is located at a distance of just 1.5 km from the main bus stand, Shimla and 1.5 km from Shimla railway station and merely 5 km from H.P University Shimla-5. The college is well connected with transport facilities from both the bus stands of Shimla. Moreover, the college has its own bus facility for students.The institution has all modern facilities such as good spacious classrooms, library, seminar room, canteen ,playground, health and physical education resource centre , curriculum lab, ICT resource centre and art and craft resource centre.We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.The main focus of the Modern Education College is to grow professionalism and commitment among the students-trainees who are going to be a teacher in future. Computer Laboratory

Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e resource center, which provides access to e resources among other things.

Library

Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.

Canteen

The College campus has a spacious and well ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.

Seminar Rooms

The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state of the art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.

The candidates with at least 50% marks or 5.01 if CGPA or grade B if in letter grade in the Bachelor’s Degree (Medical/Non-Medical/Commerce/Arts ) and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and Mathematics with 55% marks or 5.51 if CGPA or grade B+ if in letter grade or any other qualification equivalent thereto and 45% marks or 4.51 if CGPA if in the letter grade in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped categories in the aforesaid Bachelor’s /Master’s degree and 50% marks or 5.01 if CGPA or Grade B for bachelor’s in Engineering or technology from a recognized university established by law in India are eligible for admission to the programmeNote: - No relaxation, even 0.0% in the above prescribed percentage of marks shall be granted under any circumstances.2. The candidates who have appeared in BA/B.Sc/B.Com final year or Master’s degree , Bachelor of Engineering /Technology or any other qualification equivalent thereto examination and the result of the same has not yet been declared, can also apply for B.Ed . However, the admission of such candidates will be depending upon the production of certificate of qualifying examination with required percentage of aggregate marks in the aforesaid examinations as per the eligibility clause of the prospectus .in case, a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility conditions, he/she will have no right for admission to the B.Ed course.3.85% seats are reserved for Bonafide /Domicile candidates of Himachal Pradesh and 15% to the candidates of other states /UTs.Age: There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to the regular B.Ed course of two years. {High court orders in LPA No.: 104 of 2012 decided on august 27, 2012}
