A Voluntary organization under the name of Anjuman Islamia Kishtwar established a school in a missionary spirit since 1905 in Kishtwar. Later on, trust namely Islamia faridiya Educational and Research Institute. Kishtwar was registered under the Public Trust Act Samavat 1977(1920 AD) in replacement of Anjuman Islamia.The members of the trust has done yeoman’s services to the society in Kishtwar. The Control of the organization was handed over to Auqaf Committee Kishtwar in 1978 after the promulgation of Wakf 1978 and subsequently it become a constituent of J&K Wakf Council in 2001 under J&K Wakf Act 2001.In order to diversify the academic activities of the institution the organization (Trust) decided to set up a college of Education in Kishtwar imparting Institution in B.Ed. Course of the University of Jammu in 2001.Thus the Islamia Faridiya College of Education, Chenab Valley, Kishtwar came into being in 2001.The College is housed in a very good three storey modern type building. Its campus is within an area of 10 Kanals 3marlas.The College is Situated in the Heart of Kishtwar town .

Hostel Accommodation

The College has a well equipped Boys Hostel comprising of 26 three-seated rooms. The College provides hostel facilities to students from far-flung areas of the State. For allotment, preference is given to students of the farthest areas. The Hostel mess is run by Students themselves with logistic support from the College.

Dispensary

The College has a dispensary where first aid medical treatment is provided to the students and the faculty during the College hours throughout the year.

Canteen

The College has a canteen functioning in a separate two-storied building where various food items, tea, snacks, cold drinks, ice cream, bread-pakodas etc are available for the students and faculty at comparatively lower rates. Separate seating and refreshment arrangements inside the canteen are available for the staff, boys and girl students.

IT&SS

The Department of Information Technology and Support System (IT&SS) was established in the year 2015 for the smooth conduct of admission and examination of students, result generation, providing information technology support services to different departments and maintaining the College website. Besides this the department of IT&SS serves the ever-increasing technology support needs of faculty, staff, and students by providing system integration and technology support.

The Training & Placement Cell facilitates the process of placement of students passing out The Training and Placement Cell of our institute vigorously endeavors at shaping up the career prospectus of its students by exposing them to the actual world of work through a close rapport and liaison with industry and business houses .It extends hand holding support to its student for their appropriate placement on completion of their course of studies from the college .It acts as a two way bridge between the faculty / students of institute and the industry, which helps in flow of academic knowledge from institute and knowledge of practical operations and latest trends and techniques from the industry. This helps in  meeting the  dynamically changing demands of the industry/ workplace .
