Education can be thought of as the transmission of the qualities and aggregated information on a general public. In this sense, it is equal to what social researchers term socialization or enculturation. Kids—regardless of whether considered among New Guinea tribespeople, the Renaissance Florentines, or the white collar classes of Manhattan—are conceived without culture. Training is intended to manage them in learning a culture, shaping their conduct in the methods for adulthood, and guiding them toward their inevitable job in the public eye.
