Basavashree College of law is one of the constituents of Karnataka State Law University setup by Basavashree Educational Trust with the permission of Government of Karnataka and Bar Council of India to promote professional education and to promote and organize social activities for building up cultural social and educational character of young generation.The trust was established in the year 2004 and started its first venture Basavashree College of law opening for 3 years LL.B Course with capacity of 79 Admission in the first year. Today in these college there are 400 students pursuing the law course for the academic year 2010-2011. The Basavashree college of law is commencing 5 years LL. B, BBA Law Course for attracting the commerce graduate with the intent to spread legal education as necessity to all sectors and sections of the society.The Basavashree college of law is situated in Kolar city about 3 km from Kolar Bus stand toward KGF (Kolar Gold Field) near the sanitarium or T. B Hospital stop opposite in the Basavashree College of Law.Our aim is to provide a new technology in Education, building professional management structure and molding the physical talents in the field of sports, making our institutions to be first choice of students in India and our union helps you to purpose Education of greater quality to meet the challenge globally.Our group of Institutions strives to provide an apt platform for our students to portray their varied talents to the fullest extent by imparting quality and comprehensive Education. Computer Laboratory
Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.
Library
Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.
Canteen
The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms
The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
