The Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, city was established beneath the Madhya Pradesh Act No. 16 of 2009, the Nanaji Deshmukh Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwa Vidyalaya Adhiniyam, 2009 and established on third November, 2009 with the subsequent

objectives:

• To impart education in several branches of veterinary and fisheries and allied sciences because the university could verify.
• To provide for the advancement of learning and prosecution of analysis in veterinary and fisheries sciences and,
• To undertake the extension of such sciences to the agricultural folks in co-operation with the govt departments involved....

Mission

To undertake, coordinate and implement analysis activities for enhancing productivity and property of eutherian mammal, poultry and fisheries for the good thing about rural sustenance within the state of Madhya Pradesh

Mandate & Functioning

• To design and develop analysis schemes for formulation of would like based mostly and discipline- specific analysis comes for numerous disciplines of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
• To plan, coordinate and implement the analysis programmes for the f]--improvement of eutherian mammal, poultry and fisheries in Madhya Pradesh.
• To develop effective analysis linkages with State/ National/ International organizations for technology exchange and entrepreneurship development.

The university offer 17 disciplines (15 in veterinary & animal sciences & 1 each in Wildlife Forensic & Health & Animal Biotechnology).
