The K. J. Somaiya Medical College is a Private Medical College owned and managed by the Somaiya Medical Trust and is situated in the Somaiya Ayurvihar Complex in the heart of city of Mumbai. The sapling of Medical College has grown over the years and now has a multitude of qualified and experienced teaching faculty and Resident Doctors working in 21 well equipped departments. The College runs an Undergraduate Program in Medical Sciences (MBBS) and Postgraduate Programs in  Medical Broad specialities of Pediatrics (M.D.), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (M.S.) and Anatomy (M.D.)   It is affiliated to ‘The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. The K. J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Centre, a tertiary level health-care centre, situated in the same campus, serves as a teaching hospital for the medical college and offers modern yet  affordable healthcare services in various disciplines to all sections of the society.

Boys Hostel

I don't think we have placements because you need to do post-graduation also. But I've heard graduated from our college have gotten into good pg courses and eventually good hospitals. We DAMS conducted here sometimes as advertisement. They are a neet pg coaching institute. We've got fliers and sometimes other institutes do come for pg prep advertising. Internship is in our hospital itself. It's for one year.

We get a placement if marks are scored well if the practice is good in metro diagnosis, apollo hospital and placement in own hospitals like MGM hospital of Navi Mumbai and Aurangabad many of seniors are working as teacher or technician in same hospital or teaching staff.

MGMIHS has it's own hospital attached into the campus, MGM Hospital and other than that having three branches in the navi mumbai, MGM Vashi Hospital, MGM Belapur Hospital, MGM Kalamboli Hospital. So placement n working, you can work in any hospital along with your field.
