The institute, established by Gurudas Shikshan Sanstha with permissions of the government of Maharashtra Medical Education and Drugs Department, Mumbai and C.C.I.M, New Delhi and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, is one of the very few Institutes in the field remaining in the country.

In this college, at the time of internships we get local area hospital duties, and many students get opportunities to work in the village. As in internship students get in-half experience by working with many senior doctors, consultants and get knowledge from it. By working in the hospital for at least 1 and half years many students get job opportunities and get self-independent. This college provides much help to poor people in terms of treatment, medicine, etc. At least 60 patients daily come to get treatment from this. Many patients stay for 2to 3 months for full treatment. Many patients visit the hospital for Panchkarma therapy which is popular in our college. Many students from our batch get opportunities to work in our college and learn a lot of things. Every kind of branch of Ayurveda such as Kriya, Rachna, ras shastra department, Charak department are available to do. PG courses are also available in Shri Ayurved College.
