The college is related to rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur that awards degrees to the scholars. University Grants Commission, national capital enforced the Autonomous theme in 1979. The M H college is one among the pioneering establishments of Madhya Pradesh that adopted the autonomous system within the teaching in 1988-89. On the advice of UGC peer team, the Autonomous standing of the faculty has been extended up to the year 2012 - 2013. NAAC commissioned the faculty with A grade in 2012. the faculty was elect within the UGC theme “ faculties with Potential for Excellence” in 2004. that point M H College of H Sc & Science for ladies was the sole girls College of the M P to be elect with seventy-three alternative faculties from everywhere the country.

Goal And Objective:

The College was started in 1954 to push teaching among girls. Over the years, the faculty has emerged as a possible instructional center giving Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in ancient and occupation subjects of Science and residential Science Stream. Being a girls College, it ensures opportunities (inside and outdoors the classroom) for them, to grow in intellect, self esteem, leadership ability and sense of self goals.
