Basaveshwar Engineering College (BEC), Bagalkot is undergoing unswerving growth since 1963. It started as a private institute with only three Engineering programs viz. Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and came into Government grant in-aid code from 1968. Today, the institute offers 9 undergraduate and 8 post graduate programmes with 10 departments recognized as R&D centers by VTU, Belagavi. It is a matter of pride for BEC to be placed in the rank band of 201-250 at all India level for the year 2019-20 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of MHRD, New Delhi.

The growth of institution can be pigeon-holed into three phases as it has undergone enormous change from 1963 till date. The main focus during phase-I (1963 to 1983) was consolidation and strengthening of the basic infrastructure facilities to achieve academic excellence. During phase-II (1983 to 2003) of the institutional growth the emphasis was on expansion of UG programmes, introduction of PG programmes, Upgradation of faculty qualifications and initiation of research activities. By 2003 the college started 7 additional UG and 4 new PG programmes, including MCA, thus enhancing the students’ strength from 300 to 2300 and faculty strength from 20 to 140.

Admission Process of Basaveshwar Engineering College

Eligibility For the college was done through the K-CET application form was given in office reception. There is an SNQ-based reserved quota for eligible students and for them fewer fees Non-teaching and teaching staff are friendly to us.

Admission through kcet with third round option entry I joined this collage. My total fees for 1 year is 110000 I paid 98984 in bank and remaining in the collage. I get reservations my seat was alloted in category in 2A. Not need of any improvements everything is good.

I got admission through management seat on the bases of my 12th percentage If I had applied for kcet concealing i whould have got more options due to my parents argency I took management seat As we looked for better college for my course this clg seems good And the faculty is good and labs where good. And fees was affordable as compared to other colleges we looked for.

The college registration is quite easy. But office staff is not well mannered. The reservation benefits are not available here. The college should be get improved in many ways. The process of admission is good.

Its pretty good, i am interested in engineering also, so i took the computer science and engineering. I taken the CET entrane exam, and my rank is 39k, so i got the east west college of engineering .

The admission process in this college was good the faculty interaction was good they gave good guidance and they will assign one faculty member for us to go through admission process the application form will be in college.

It was good the office members took care of us they instructed us to every step the told about how the college infrastructure is good and all the good things about the college and there was a faculty member to fill the admission form.

Boys Hostel

A hostel is a place where a student looks forward to being after a hard day at college. EWCE provides in-campus comfortable and well-hygienic hostel accommodation separately for boys We have been trying to make the hostel the next best place to be in after home. The warden manages the hostel and handles any issues that may arise in normal functioning. Technically trained & experienced staff looks after the hostel maintenance. For all hostel students who come from different states of the country having diverse tastes, the menu is planned as a mix of both North Indian and South Indian food with variety each day. Concentration is laid on hygiene, quality, and cleanliness of the food which is prepared in the hostel’s kitchen monitored & prepared by experienced and skilled cooks. A College Administration looks after the day-to-day functioning of the hostel. Students are encouraged to be actively involved in the smooth running of the hostel and help to maintain discipline and a healthy atmosphere.

The college has well-equipped laboratories for students to perform experiments in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Computer Science.

EWCE includes a well-designed, calm, and spacious library containing a vast collection of reference books, textbooks, and journals & e-journals. The comprehensive Information Center provides resources to students with up-to-date information on all subjects. The Digital library has over 60000 volumes of books covering all branches of Engineering, Science, Technical & Management subjects. International and National journals are regularly added to the shelves to keep the students updated with current research and findings.

Basaveshwar Engineering College Placement

The placement of the college is given to all students as campuses are arranged by colleges from different companies. The students are eligible for placement after second-year exams. The of companies are reliance pharmacy, nayrani multi-hospital, sun pharmacy, etc. The highest is 5 lakh and the average is 3 lakh. The percentage of students getting placement is about 75%. I plan to join a company for 10 years for collecting money for opening a medical shop.

After completed dpharm 1st year, we are eligible for campus placements. Apollo pharmacy, reliance pharmacy, sun pharma, alembic pharmacy 5 lakh, 90% of students are getting placements per year. 12 pass in science.100 per cent of students get placement. All students have completed this course and get a better placement. My plans after getting the degree I want to be a pharmacist. Last semester students become eligible for campus placement. The Glenmark company is visited in our college. The percentage of students getting placement is 80%.

After completing the course, students become eligible for campus placement Companies visited Appolo pharmacy, Reliance pharmacy, etc The highest package offered by the company Is 5 lakh After getting the degree I plan to do a job in the Highest package company.
