In 1960-61 an emergency clinic at Tripunithura, under the Indigenous Medicine Department was moved to Ayurveda College for clinical preparing of understudies. In 1964 a land territory of in excess of 11 sections of land was procured for the school at Puthiyakavu and the establishment store was laid in 1968 by the then Health Minister Sri. B.Wellingdon. The new school building was opened in 1973 April ninth by the previous President of India, Sri. V.V Giri and the school moved to the new Campus. Drug store and Men's inn was likewise moved from Royal Guest House to the new school grounds in this way. Degree course in Ayurveda (B A M) was presented in 1971, supplanting confirmation course.
