The Indian Statistical Institute was established by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on seventeenth December, 1931. The establishment picked up the status of an Institution of National Importance by a demonstration of the Indian Parliament in 1959.
The Delhi Center of the Indian Statistical Institute was begun in 1974, and moved to its present grounds in 1975. A portion of India's driving analysts, mathematicians, and financial specialists have been on its staff, and its preparation projects appreciate overall notoriety.
