Indian Nursing Council

The Indian Nursing Council is an Autonomous Body under the Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare was constituted by the Central Government under section 3(1) of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 of parliament in order to establish a uniform standard of training for nurses, Midwives and health visitors.

• Candidates getting NUID Card will get the incentive of 30 hours of CNE for the first time
• Empower Nurses with National Unique Identity Number (NUID)
• Facilitate for effective manpower planning for policy makers at State and National Level.
• Uniform issuance of Nurse Passbook comprising of complete history of Nurse Midwifery.
• Renewal of licence once in five years linked with 150 hours of Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
