About Karimganj Polytechnic

Karimganj Polytechnic is one among the eleven new polytechnics established by the Government of Assam in 2017 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam. 

The Polytechnic is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and it offers diploma level courses in three branches of engineering - Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial & Production Engineering with intake capacity of  60 (sixty) in each branch totaling to 180 (one hundred eighty). The academic session of the institution started from 1st. August, 2017.

Situated at Maizgram, about 10 km from Karimganj Railway junction and about 8km from Karimganj Town. It covers an area of 9.96 acres surrounded by scenic beauty and aesthetic greenery.

Facilities of Karimganj Polytechnic

Hostel

Karimganj Polytechnic has hostels that are separated into blocks for the boys and girls on the campus. Karimganj Polytechnic hostel facilities have well-furnished rooms equipped with basic facilities.

Medical/Hospital

Karimganj Polytechnic facilities include the medical room. The medical room is equipped with all necessary medical equipment. A doctor is available 24 hours and ambulances are also present for any emergencies.

Gym

The college has a gym facility. On campus Gymnasium equipped with the most modern fitness machines provide a perfect opportunity for both girls and boys for their regular workouts and enhance their fitness level. 

Library

Karimganj Polytechnic library has a Large number of books, journals, and publications. There are separate sections that are present in the library like the reference section, circulation section, audio-visual section, digital library section, etc.

Sports

Karimganj Polytechnic facilities include indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Indoor games like carrom, chess, table tennis, pool, etc are made available to the students. Outdoor sports facilities are also available for games like cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball and many more.
