Ahmedabad University was established in 2009 which is a private, non-profit institution. The university was founded by Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) which is located in Ahmedabad and is a non-profit educational trust. Ahmedabad Education Society was established at the behest of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and several other leaders and prominent industrialists of Ahmedabad such as Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Ganesh Mavalanka, Amrutlal Hargovandas. In the state of Gujarat, throughout India and the world advance education should be served by the university this is ensured by the Ahmedabad Education Society. Several other institutes that are founded by AES are National Institute of Design, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology or (CEPT) and Physical Research Laboratory. Various institutions such as AG Teacher’s College, LD College of Arts, HL College of Commerce, MG College of Science, LM College of Pharmacy  and LD Institute of Indology are supported by the Trust.

  Through doctoral degree programmes, Ahmedabad University encourages high-quality research. Assistantships are awarded to Ph.D. scholars in accordance with University norms.

  Admission Schedule: 

  The schedule of the admission process is as follows:

  • Online Applications begins from 15th April 2019
  • Last date for the submission of application form: 15th June 2019
  • Date of Ph.D. entrance test and interviews: 8th July 2019 (Tentative)

  
  

  How to Pay Application Fee

  • Application fee of INR. 1,000 must be paid along with the application by way of Bank Draft drawn in favor of “Ahmedabad University” payable at Ahmedabad.

  Procedure for Admission

  • Download the Ph.D. Admission Application Form from the website https://ahduni.edu.in/amsom/admissions. 
  • Submit the completed application to the address given in the form along with required fees and all supporting documents. 
  • Please write on the envelop “Application for admission to the Doctoral Programme in Management”.
  • Qualifying candidates will be Short-listed based on merit, the submitted statement of purpose and essay. 
  • They will be required to appear for a panel interview.
  • The dates for interviews will be notified in advance.

    Eligibility: Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

    Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with the 50% marks 

    Master of the Management in Heritage Management

    M.Tech

    Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ technology in the CE/ CSE/ EE/ ECE with 60% marks 

    Valid GATE or PGCET score

    Ph.D.

    Eligibility: Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with 60% marks

    Must have qualified CSIR-UGC-NET.

    Ahmedabad University Admissions-

    The students fulfilling the eligibility requirements can apply to the respective course through both the online and offline modes. Before applying online, the candidate shall have to procure a PIN Cover by paying INR 1000/- (non-refundable) per discipline in cash to any designated branch of Dena Bank.

    Admission is based on the Holistic Review (except for B.Tech and M.Tech) that comprises the following criteria:

    •Academic performance (Class 10, 11 and 12)

    •Personal Statement

    •Extracurricular/Sports or Co-curricular achievements of the candidate

    •Personal Interactions

    For B.Tech, the University accepts the JEE (Mains) score or ACPC process of the Govt. of Gujarat. Similarly, for admission to M.Tech, the student must have a GATE or PGCET score.

    Ahmedabad University Facilities-

    Ahmedabad University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The campus is located in the Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad city with 250 acres of land.
