Chakdaha College, one in all the oldest and most acknowledged educational activity establishments, connected to the University of Kalyani, Nadia, was established as a Pre-University College in 1972 (continued until 1977), beneath the pioneering initiative of the-then Deputy Speaker of West Bengal Assembly, Hon'ble Haridas Hindu deity and inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of West Bengal, Hon'ble mystic Ravi Shankar Roy in 1975, the College started its journey in its new field, i.e., this one, with 5/6 professed Colleges, largely temporary, with the exception of the permanent Principal, only one permanent office-staff, ninety eight pupils and particularly, with the blessing of the localities because the need for such a center of lecturers had been breastfed for many years. Chakdaha College could be a model in transmission quality-education to the target-learners, making a student-friendly atmosphere and guaranteeing singular co-ordination among Principal, Teaching and Non-teaching members and students.
