Chand Bi Bi College of Education for Women, Gulbaraga is one of the top colleges of Karnataka. It is the first Women’s College of Education in Karnataka. It is a centre of excellence in Education in Gulbarga City. The College is known for its uniqueness, quality education rich cultural heritage. This college was born in the year 1985 and has traversed over 03 decades providing training and quality Education to women students. The 35 years of this institution have been a saga of rich heritage and excellent spirit, the seed of which was sown by the dynamic academician Dr. Md. Ashfaq Chulbul, Chief Trustee Khusro Charitable Trust.Institutional values are different to our personal values in that they allow the members to function within the institution. Our institutional values are not rules but shared ideas and understanding that bind us together. Our curricular and extracurricular activities are designed to translate our vision and mission into action. In this temple of Learning, students from all sections of society are engaged in learning and skill development. Learner- centered and activity-based classroom teaching, use of modern technological devices, community orientation, social service and extension activities are some of our best practices. We organize a wide range of extracurricular activities to help the students to discover and to develop themselves. We encourage them to question and to learn creatively. A large number of our student teachers come from the underprivileged sections of the society and their learning skills and self-motivation are not up to the mark. Computer Laboratory

Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e-resource center, which provides access to e-resources among other things.

Library

Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full-text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.

Canteen

The College campus has a spacious and well-ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.

Seminar Rooms

The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
