This college was established on twenty-five January 1939 on a Saraswati Puja day at Govind Mitra Road, Patna by Late Shri Radha Mohanjee. the primary President of Bharat Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the primary member of the Management Committee of the faculty. In 1949, Govt. of Bihar took the management of the faculty as Govt. College of Arts & Crafts for conducting Five-year sheepskin course. In 1957, the varsity was transferred into its recently made building as well as Student’s Hostel at Vidyapati Marg, Patna. In 1972, it had been renamed as Govt. College of Arts & Crafts. On Gregorian calendar month twelve, 1977, the faculty was bimanual over to Patna University and sheepskin course was reborn into Degree course. College of Arts & Crafts, Patna is an establishment for advanced coaching in Visual Arts (Creative and Applied) resulting in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (5 year) course of the Patna University. the target of the teaching program and coaching within the College is to attain overall refinement of the student’s perception not confined to the abilities of the profession alone however conjointly to make the proper reasonably intellect, furthermore as emotional cultivation to attain A level of composite creative thinking and thought.
