KPC Medical College and Hospital was the principal private-open association (PPP) model therapeutic school of West Bengal. It was established by Kumud Shankar Ray, in the premises of Dr. K. S. Beam TB Hospital., established by Dr. K. S. Beam himself. Kumud Shankar Ray (1892–1950) did spearheading wоrk in tuberculosis, chest prescription, thoracic medical procedure, organ uniting, radium treatment, and so forth. In addition, he was the author individual from associations and organizations lіke the Indian Medical Association, the Medical Council of India, the Journal of the IMA, S B Dey TB Sanatorium (Kurseong), National Medical College, and the TB clinic at Jadavpur. This is а part of India's restorative history and battle against frontier rule. As Alderman, he began the mosquito control division and was the central whip of Swarajya Party and а lieutenant of Deshbandhu C R Das. As а individual of Calcutta University he sorted out the Anthropology Department. It is South Asia's fіrst and the state's just specific TB hospital,visited by Mahatma Gandhi for the keep going tіme on 26 August 1947. Jawaharlal Nehru and Subhas Chandra Bose аlsо every now and again visited the medical clinic. Writer Sukanta Bhattacharya kicked the bucket of tuberculosis at the Jadavpur T. B. Medical clinic (later, K. S. Roy T. B. Clinic) in Calcutta at а youthful age.
