St. Berchmans Autonomous College is the principal advanced education establishment of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. This foundation was established in 1922 by Venerable Mar Thomas Kurialacherry, Bishop of Changanassery see. It was begun, with the honorable point of the Universal Catholic Church, to form youngsters and ladies who will take a stab at greatness in each social status and human administration.
The College is perceived under segment 2 (f) and area 12B of the UGC Act 1956. The school was first certify at Five Star in 1999 and reaccredited at A+ in 2006. In the third cycle of accreditation in 2012, the school was again reviewed at A. The Government of Kerala and UGC conceded independence to this school in the year 2014. In 1996 and 1997, it won the pined for "R Shankar Award" for the Best College in the State, initiated by the Government of Kerala. In 2004, the UGC distinguished the College under its "School with Potential for Excellence" conspire. All the Science Departments are bolstered by the FIST of DST.
