Holy person Mary's College gets its name from the Blessed Virgin Mary, the ideal symbol of womanhood. The authoritative and training staffs are relied upon to manufacture the Marian temperances of enthusiasm, quality and honesty in the hearts of the joining young ladies going through the entries of the College. The letters RNDM embellished in the inside, represents the religious request of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions devoted to Mary, the Lady of Grace and Virtue. 

The ivy branches mean coherence, development and receptiveness to change. Encompassing the Ivy branches, we discover the words 'Ethicalness' and 'Information' etched out the stone targets of the Institute. 

The tri-shading, red, white and blue related with the uniform of RNDM schools radiate balance, quality and clearness of brain. 

Keep running by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions or RNDM (Religieux Notre Dame des Missions), a universal religious assemblage, Saint Mary's College, Shillong, a Catholic Church Institution of higher learning was built up in 1937. Generally, the life of Saint Mary's College has its umbilical string associated with the parent establishment of Saint Mary's Convent which thusly had its headquarter in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
