Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology (JCET) Lakkidi, Ottapalam, Palakkad, is one of the top-ranking Educational institutions offering excellence in engineering education. JCET is affiliated to the A.P. J. Admission Process for Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology 

Admission Process

• Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad offers admission in the UG and PG programmes. At the UG level, JCET Palakkad offers the B.Tech programme and at the PG level, offers the M.Tech and MBA programmes. Admission in the B.Tech programme at Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad is made on the basis of JEE- Main or KEAM scores. Admission in the M.Tech programme is made on the basis of GATE scores. Admission in the MBA programme at JCET Ottapalam is made on the basis of CAT/CMAT/KMAT scores. 
• The candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the major subjects and should have secured minimum 55% marks put together in the above subjects.

Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates must qualify (a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Government of Kerala (KEAM) and should be listed in KEAM Rank List.

Selection Process 

• Candidates must meet the minimum Eligibility Criteria.
• Candidates must appear for the KEAM or JEE- Main. 
  
• Candidates must apply for JCET Palakkad through its official website.
  
• Candidates must meet the Cutoffs.
  
• Candidates must appear for the Counselling process. 
  
• Candidates must get their documents verified and must pay the admission fees.

M.Tech/MBA Courses Seats and Eligibility

• The candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised University.
• The candidates must have an Engineering Degree with at least 60% aggregate marks (Passing marks for the candidates who belong to the SC/ST category and 54% aggregate marks for the SEBC candidates). 

OR

• The candidates should have passed AMIE/AMIETE examinations with at least 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination and should have minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of specialisation after acquiring the qualifying degree.

Boys Hostel

The college provides Hostel facility to the Boys students. The Hostel Rooms are spacious, well furnished and are well ventilated. Laundry services are also available in the Boys Hostel.  

Girls Hostel

Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology, Palakkad provides Hostel facility to the Girls students. The Hostel Rooms are well ventilated and are well furnished. Laundry facility is also available in the Girls Hostel.  

Medical/Hospital

The college has a Sick Room which provides First Aid facilities and other medical assistance to the staff members and the students during the time of medical emergency. 

Library

The college has a Central Library which is fully computerised and is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of Books, Printed and Electronic Journals, CD- ROMs, Journals, Periodicals, Magazines and Project Reports. The college Library follows the Open Access system to access the Reading material. The Books are Barcoded and scientifically classified into DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification scheme). The college Library has a Circulation section, Reprographic section, Newspaper Reading section, Technical section, General Reading area, Periodicals Section, Journal section, MBA Reference section, CD- ROM storage and Digital Library.

Auditorium

JCET Ottapalam has an Auditorium which has a seating capacity of approximately 800 people. The college also has Seminar Hall where a number of formal and informal events of the college take place throughout the year. 

Transport Facility

The college has its own fleet of Buses which helps the students and the staff members to commute from one place to another place. 

Parking Facility

JCET Palakkad provides Parking facilities to the staff members and the students to park their vehicles in the college campus.
