The sight of many meriting young candidates denied education thanks to a restricted variety of excellent faculties caused a need within the minds of some unselfish folks to open a first-grade College within the town, which the faculty is named RAMAKRISHNA MISSION VIVEKANANDA College, once the nice patriot-monk and founding father of the Ramakrishna Mission.

On associate degree auspicious day of twenty first June 1946, swami Kailashanandaji Maharaj, the then President of Sri Ramakrishna scientific discipline, chennai ceremonially inaugurated the faculty. On first July 1946, the faculty member, thinker, and President of India-to-be, Dr. S. radhakrishnan formally inaugurated the faculty and dedicated it to the reason behind quality education.

So, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College began its humble march with twenty lecturers and 339 students with the prime motive of impartation man-making and character-building education and mixing the principles of lay data and non secular data.

Hostel facilities:
