Women’s Christian College was established on seventh July 1915 as a joint endeavor of 12 evangelist social orders from the UK, USA and Canada, under the capable administration of the main Principal, Dr. Miss Eleanor McDougall,with 41 understudies and 7 staff in Hyde Park, a leased premises in Kilpauk. In 1937, a little girl foundation, St. Christopher's Training College for preparing graduates in instructing was set up and supported on grounds till they moved to their own premises.
