M.Phil (Industrial Biotechnology) is a master degree course. Throughout this course, candidates will be challenged to design your own biotechnological process and assess its performance and sustainability. Mainly the course centered on the applications and allows students to gain practical knowledge rather than mere theory. After passing the degree course candidates have various job opportunities in many fields. The main aim of this course is to provide fundamental insights to exploit enzymes and microbes for the manufacturing of products which have a huge industrial significance. It is an interesting and challenging course for an exciting career. In degree course candidates will be taught the basics of industrial biotechnology and how to apply these to the design of fermentation processes for the production of fuels, chemicals and foodstuffs. The course syllabus offered the insights and tools for the design of biotechnology processes in a sustainable way. Candidates can use the unique properties of microorganisms to convert organic waste streams into biomaterials, chemicals and biofuels. Master of Philosophy in Industrial Biotechnology course take around two year and its syllabus is divide in four semesters of six month each. It provide on part time basis by various college and university. In some universities after completing M.Phil candidates do not have to appear in Entrance Exam.
