Duration
The course is 2 years long. 6 months are dedicated towards an internship in 2nd academic year. Successful candidates may register themselves as a registered nurse after completing this course.
Age limit
Age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years of age and not be more than 35 years of age.
Educational qualifications
Candidate who wants to take admission in ANM should have passed 10+2. Science and Arts stream are the most preferred ones according to the website of Indian Nursing Council. Minimum aggregate marks can be different from one institute to another.

Admission Process for ANM
Most of the institutes give admission to candidates based on the marks scored by them in 10+2 board examination as they follow the ‘direct admission’ process. Seats are allotted to deserving applicants. Private screening tests and interviews are also used in the admission process in case of some reputed institutes.
Some Nursing Colleges also conduct entrance test followed by a round of PI (Personal Interview) and students get admission on the base on performance in the entrance exam.
