This full degree course consists of three year or four year and its syllabus is divides in six semesters of six month each. PhD GEOLOGY ADMISSION PROCESS-

Admission to the PhD programme shall be based on the candidates marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department of school of the particular university or colleges. Those students who have completed their GATE or NET/SET/ MPhil/JRF Examination in the pertinent subjects of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be disown from the Entrance Test. While giving the exemption, the Departmental Committee of the university or colleges may consider research work or earlier PhD/experience done by the candidate. If a candidate already holds the Doctor degree in the relevant subject from a UGC Approved University or College, he or she may be exempted from entrance exam and pre PhD coursework. After clearing the both steps the competitors will be eligible to pay course fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of competitors may be admitted to PhD programme of the Geology.
