PhD E.N.T.

In this PhD E.N.T. it is three year or four year duration doctoral level of course. E.N.T. is a branch of the medical that deal with the study of the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, and the head and neck disorders. During the study time students introduce to the technical theories and the practical lab sessions relevant to the discipline, besides the coverage of the comprehensive syllabus and rotational postings in the Oral-Maxilla-facial Surgery, Neuron-surgery, and Plastic and the Reconstructive Surgery, as well as the research project in the field of the Otorhinolaryngology. The course syllabus is divided in six semesters in six month each. Area of course prepares students in treating infections, disorders (hereditary and acquired) and allergies relating to the ear, nose and throat. The PhD program involves various areas such as the Pediatric ENT., Surgical removal of Tonsils or Adenoid, Surgery of the Thyroid, Neurotology or the Surgery of the skull base, Facial Plastic Surgery, Head Neck Surgery and the Otology.

PhD E.N.T. ADMISSION PROCESS:

Admission to the PhD programme shall be based on the candidate marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the respective department of school of the particular or each university or college. Those applicants who have complete their GATE/NET/SET/ M.Phil Examination in the pertinent subject of the apex bodies as CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT will be disown from the Entrance Test. While giving the exemptions, the Departmental Committee of the university may be consider research work or earlier PhD or experience done by the candidate. If a candidates already holds the  Doctor degree in a relevant subject from a UGC Approved University or College, he or she may be exempted from entrance exam and pre PhD coursework. After clearing the both steps the candidate will be eligible to pay the course fee or registration fee. Only the predetermined number of candidate may be admitted to PhD programme of E.N.T.
