Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University

Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University is a state university established in 2016 by the Govt. of the Jharkhand. This University is first of its kind in the Jharkhand and third in the country which provides the Certificate, Diploma, and Degree Courses in the field of the Police Science and Internal Security wherein students or youth gets the opportunity to build their career in the state police, central police, military, and the other private security forces. Admission to the courses is offered on the basis of the common entrance exam conducted by the universities.

Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University disseminates various types of study programs for the exposure of candidates in the field of Police Science and Internal Security. Tabulated below are the courses offered by the University at the different levels:

Eligibility: 10+2 passed in Science stream with 50% aggregate

Course: M.Sc

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: Graduation in Forensic Science with min. of 50%

Course: M.A/ M.Sc.

Specialization:- Criminology

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: Graduation from Arts/ Science with 50% aggregate

Course: PG Diploma in Road Traffic Management

Specialization: Urban Studies 

Duration: 1 year

Eligibility: Graduation from any stream with 50% aggregate

Course: PG Diploma in Industrial Security

Specialization: Security Studies

Duration: 1 year

Eligibility: Graduation from any stream with 50% aggregate

Course: BBA in Security Management

Duration: 3 years

Course: Diploma 

Specialization: Police Science

Eligibility: 10+2 passed from any stream with 50% aggregate

JRSU Ranchi Admissions

Students need to apply in the prescribed form only for admission to the programs. The instructions for filling up the admission form are listed below: 

1. Download the application form from the university website and take the print-out form. Duly fill-up the form and paste the recent passport size photograph.

2. Attach a Demand Draft of the INR 200 drawn in favor of ‘Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University, Ranchi‘ payable at the Ranchi, Jharkhand. 

3. Attach the following self-attested documents with the application form

Aadhaar Card

10th Mark sheets

Intermediate Mark sheet 

Graduation Mark sheet

Caste and Income Certificate (if applicable)

The admission to all the courses at the Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University shall be decided on the marks obtained in the common entrance test i.e. 60% and the aggregate score obtained in the qualifying examination for the respective course i.e. 40%.
